Bio:

My name is Rian Barr. I am a aspiring screenwriter, producer, and author based in Southern California. I am currently pursuing a BFA in Screenwriting at the University of Iowa, the number one writing school in the country.

During my time at Iowa I was written and produced shorts film as well as developed skills in development, scheduling, coverage, and editing.

On top of my screenwriting experience, I have spent the last four years working in journalism. Prior to coming to college I was the Editor-in-Chief of my high school newspaper, which is where I first realized it was possible to write as a career.

When I moved to Iowa, I joined the Daily Iowan and have since transition to working for KRUI Radio. My work has allowed me to interview and report on members of the industry such as Morgan Sackett, John Skipper, Eric Leiderman, and Laurie Hernandez. All of those conversations help to cement my interest and passion for the industry.

This website was created in hopes to connecting with like minded artist and to have a place to document my journey.
