Katie Byers has tried everything to move up in the PR world. Even after landing a high-profile job at one of the fastest growing PR companies in the country, she’s still stuck behind a glass ceiling. After missing out on a long awaited promotion she feels like she’s hit rock bottom.

That’s until opportunity strikes.  

One night after a long day of work she goes back to her mother's apartment and catches her having an affair with none other than Katie’s boss Rodger Murray. The head of operation for “Orange PR”. Who is married to his Co-CEO and the mother of his children Beattie Murray. A public scandal could not only ruin the company but his life, and Katie knows that. So, as any impatient and struggling 26 year old would, she blackmails him. Using this knowledge to force her way onto high profile projects and up the ladder of the production studio.  

But success is not all it's cracked up to be.  

Others take notice. Katie, who used to be a small-time assistant, now seems to be at the center of all projects almost overnight. Questions fly through the office. Is she sleeping with the boss? Did her dad pull connections? Does she deserve this role? Is she even qualified to do the job?  

Her new role puts a stain on her relationships. Not only does this lie force her to be in close proximity with her mother. Her friends in the company are uncomfortable with her new status as she starts to call the shots. It’s only made worse as she begins to interact with Beattie, the women she’s actively deceiving as her husband cheats on her. It forces Katie to confront her own morals and what she’s really willing to do for success.
